VALUATION & MODELING ANALYST | Antwerp

For our client, a financial institution, we are currently looking to recruit a (m/f): VALUATION & MODELING ANALYST

Function:

As a valuation expert with the Middle Office you will:

ensure accurate valuation of the transactions and positions of the Dealing Room and ALM. This implies the development and parametrisation of the relevant valuation models in compliance with best market practices;

define the market data required for the valuation, ensure quality monitoring and correct upload into the IT applications used;

perform and improve the internal control procedures to ensure the reliability of the numerical data produced;

write economic reports and qualitative comments to explain economic performance and support the actions taken;

provide hedge accounting solutions aiming at limiting the Profit &Loss volatility;

ensure the integrity of the P&L and respect of the valuation rules.

Profile:

Master degree in a quantitative field of study (economics/finance, civil engineering, mathematics,..). An additional master in quantitative finance or a CFA / FRM certificate is a plus.

A first relevant experience in a trading room environment (bank or consulting) and with valuation methods for financial assets and derivatives.

Strong modelling skills and knowledge of financial markets / products.

Expert with Excel, experience with Bloomberg and Sophis is an asset.

Understanding of the accounting standards (BEGAAP/ IFRS) and hedge accounting in particular.

You are stress resistant, organised, autonomous with a proactive approach and teamworker.

Fluent in Dutch and English.
